Postdoctoral Fellow positions are available in the Division of Life Science at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Our research focus is to investigate molecular mechanisms that regulate adult stem cell quiescence and activation in the context of tissue regeneration and aging. We are currently seeking highly motivated and independent candidates with strong background in RNA biology, stem cell biology or bioinformatics. For more details, please visit the homepage of Prof. Tom Cheung : http://cheunglab.ust.hk/
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. in biology, biochemistry or related areas. Working knowledge of molecular and cell biology techniques is a must. Experience with mouse genetics and adult stem cell biology will be an asset.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. The appointee is expected to lead his/her research project that investigates the basic biology of stem cell mediated skeletal muscle regeneration.
To apply for this position, a cover letter indicating current research and future research interests, curriculum vitae and the names and email addresses of three referees should be sent to Prof. Tom Cheung, Division of Life Science, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Clear Water Bay, Kowloon, Hong Kong (email: firstname.lastname@example.org).
